Summary

[edit]
Description
English:
Madách Bridge. Built in 1939 as a reenforced concrete footbridge with five piers. In mid 1945 made impassable, because it was an international/border bridgr over Ipoly/Ipel river. In (around?) 1968, the river 'moved' to north because the river regulated. Now it is a 'historical monument' - Ipolypart Street, Balassagyarmat, Nógrád County, Hungary.
Magyar:
Madách- híd. Az elhagyott Ipoly folyó medre felett. Az ún. Zöld Csiga program keretében átépítik. A déli feljáró helyén jókerékpárút létesült illetve a Palóctanösvény. A Márton hegyi földek megközelitésére fa gyaloghíd épült a 19. sz. végén akkor Kender (ma Madách) utca végén. 1939?-ben épült a jelenlegi vasbeton öt pilléres 1945-ben járhatatlanná tették. 1968.ban szabályozták az Ipoly ezen részét így a folyó medre most jóval észaakabbra található. A városvezetés 2022-es? döntése alapján a híd szerepe: Történelmi memento. Info: gyarmatihirek.hu/2022/11/17/megroviditik-a-madach-hidat/ (2022.nov,17) - Nógrád megye, Balassagyarmat, Ipolypart utca
