English: PH Coll 730.5 The Wheeler, Osgood Company was founded in fall of 1889 by William C. Wheeler and George R. Osgood in Tacoma, Washington. Because of the depression in 1929, it merged with the Nikolai Door Company. It was bought out by Cruver, MacArthur & Phillips in 1947. In fall of the same year, it merged with the Fir Manufacturing Company. It went defunct in 1951. The company manufactured Laminex doors from old growth Douglas fir.
