Funzione

Il modello rappresenta uno studio di macchina volante ad ali battenti azionata dalla forza muscolare.

Modalità d'uso
In questo studio la battuta delle ali è provocata da un pilota che avrebbe "indossato" la struttura a gabbia, infilando i piedi nelle due staffe, e azionando così le carrucole. La posizione verticale del pilota è ritenuta da Leonardo più stabile.
