Summary

[edit]
Description
English: This is an OT instrument used by ENT surgeons during mastoidectomy.

It contains two ends one of which is a spoon like curette used for removing diseased mastoid cells and the other end is a probe (sometimes it is a bent probe) which is used to check for cells. It can be assessed by probing.

Dura mater feels fluctuant whereas air cells are firm when felt.
