Never a band to be anonymous, the Band in travelling to participate in Forres Highland Games (30-odd miles east of inverness on the Moray Firth Coast) made use of the preserved/restored Bedford 41-seater coach MGB286E (1967 vintage). The coach, whch is owned by the MacBraynes Circle. was in its day the epitomy of luxury travel, and is still a comfy run. It was originally coachbuilt in Central Scotland to a narrower than usual width for better operation on the narrow roads of the HIghlands & Islands.

The coach is pictured here resting under the trees of Grant Park, Forres during the Highland Games.

NorCon was one of 13 pipe bands which took part in the popular Forres Highland Games, held in the beautiful Grant Park in the centre of the town on Saturday 10th July 2010. The weather forecast was for frequent downpours but thankfully it actually stayed dry all through the event.
