Dear Sir

Rushmore

We had a gentleman with us yesterday who is desirous of renting a good, furnished mansion in Wiltshire; he has already been over several in the County introduced to hi by us, neither of which however would suit him + he stated that whilst in the neighbourhood he had heard that you might be inclined to let Rushmore & that if such were the case, he would [illegible] down & inspect it.

Will you kindly let us know whether you are disposed to let? if so, & you will let us have full particulars as to accommodation & rent, we will forward same on to the gentleman in question, & if you desire shall be pleased to give you his name in confidence

Awaiting the favour of a reply.

Yours obediently,

Mabbett & Edge
