Nice, faint halo around this one. Halos are actually very common features for planetary nebulas but they often aren't included because they are so faint. In Hubble's case, a lot of the time the halo is just too big to be included in the frame. This is a single channel of data which I colorized. All channels: hst_08345_10_wfpc2_f656n_pc_sci North is up. |
