Description
Deutsch: Grundriss des Mainzer Doms
Diese Zeichnung zeigt die Himmelsrichtungen in üblicher Anordnung, oben ist Norden, rechts Osten. Rechts daher der Ostchor, der von den Treppentürmen des Willigis flankiert wird. Das Mittelschiff erscheint durch die beidseits angebauten Kapellenreihen fünfschiffig, unterbrochen im Süden (oben) von der Memorienkapelle und im Norden durch das Marktportal. Der Chorabschluss des Westchores lässt den im Artikel Mainzer Dom beschriebenen Trikonchos deutlich werden.
