Description

A história do Museu Oscar Niemeyer teve início em 2002, quando o prédio principal deixou de ser sede de secretarias de Estado para se transformar em museu. O prédio, antes chamado de Edifício Presidente Humberto Castelo Branco, passou por adaptações e ganhou um anexo, popularmente chamado de Olho. Ambos os projetos são de autoria do reconhecido arquiteto brasileiro Oscar Niemeyer.


Composto por aproximadamente 2 mil peças, o acervo guarda obras dos paranaenses Alfredo Andersen, Theodoro De Bona, Miguel Bakun, Guido Viaro e Helena Wong, além de Tarsila do Amaral, Cândido Portinari, Oscar Niemeyer, Ianelli e Caribé, entre outros.
