Description
Français : Pente d'eau de MONTECH:

Ensemble mobile de l'ouvrage, comprenant: - Deux locomotrices de type ferroviaire entraînées par des moteurs Diesel de 1000ch. - Un assemblage mécanique constitué d’un masque mobile appelé aussi «bouclier» qui poussait un volume d’eau de 1500m3 où flottait la péniche en déplacement. - Une péniche de démonstration du type Freycinet.

L'ensemble circulait dans une rigole bétonnée de 443m de long, profonde de 4,35m et large de 6m. Le temps de transite pour absorber le dénivelé de 13,30m était de 20 minutes.

L'ouvrage est parallèle au canal latéral de la Garonne (a gauche), avec ses cinq écluses du XIXième siècle.
