Summary

[edit]
Description
English: In a clean room at the Astrotech Space Operations facility in Titusville, Florida, processing of NASA's Magnetospheric Multiscale observatories (MMS) is complete, and they are ready to be enclosed in an Atlas payload fairing for launch. MMS, led by a team from the Goddard Space Flight Center, consists of four identical spacecraft that will work together to provide the first three-dimensional view of magnetic reconnection, a fundamental process which occurs throughout the universe. Launch aboard a United Launch Alliance Atlas V rocket from Space Launch Complex 41 on Cape Canaveral Air Force Station is targeted for March 12.
