Fotografia portretowa wykonana w zakładzie fotograficznym „Rembrandt” w Łodzi, przedstawiająca siedzącego mężczyznę z kartkami papieru w ręku. Z adnotacji na odwrocie zdjęcia wynika, że jest to Stanisław Łąpiński, dziennikarz, literat i publicysta, związany między innymi z gazetą „Rozwój” oraz „Kurierem Łódzkim”. Urodził się 6 maja 1848 roku, zmarł 19 lipca 1921 roku. Na odwrocie fotografii znajduje się dedykacja. Według niej, fotografia powstała około 1903 roku. Zakład fotograficzny “Rembrandt” został założony 1898 roku. Od około 1900 roku miał też filię w Pabianicach. W latach 1899-1909 funkcjonował przy ulic Piotrkowskiej 97, w kamienicy należącej do Edwarda Lüngena, w nadbudowanym od strony Andrzeja (ob. ulica Struga) atelier. Po przeniesieniu "Rembrandta" na ulicę Piotrkowską 63, gdzie funkcjonował do 1914 roku, na jego miejsce wprowadził się zakład Stanisława Zaborskiego “Moderne”.
