Description
Deutsch: Der DGG-Gedenkstein, welcher am 4. März 2013 aufgestellt wurde, soll an das Gebäude erinnern, an welchen auf die Initiative von Professor Emil Wiechert die Deutsche Geophysikalische Gesellschaft, damals noch unter dem Namen Deutsche Selsmologische Gesellschaft, gegründet wurde. Das Gebäude wurde im Dezember 1943 durch Luftangriffe zerstört. Am 14. Februar 1945 startete weniger Woche vor dem Ende des zweiten Weltkriegs der letzte Zug in Richtung Theresienstadt mit 169 Kindern, Frauen und Männern an Bord.
