Description
English: «These are some of the folk of Elisavetopol, a town between Baku and Batum. They include the original Tat, who is an ancient Persian and first owner, his neighbours the Armenian and Georgian, the raiding Kurd, the invading Tartar and later Turki conquerors. The womenfolk show some effects of blends of blood in the old harem life through the centuries.»
