Seen painted in Marchants livery marking their 50th Anniversary is Neoplan Skyliner LIL 9843 original reg. E214 BOD and new to Western National as a National Express Rapide vehicle. One particular journey that will always stick out in my mind was a job that I done from a school in Basildon to Dover (how the hell we got the job I shall never know!) but I went across the Dartford crossing (M25) fully inflated with kids and luggage at about 8 o'clock at night in the winter wind and rain but this thing just sat there and ploughed through it like a flat calm. Incedentally this Neoplan was Volvo powered. |
