Description

American WW2 era Light Tank Official designation:- Light Tank, M5 Built:- November 1942 to June 1944 Total production:- 6,810 Main Armament:- 37mm M6 gun The M5A1 had the later, improved, hull of the M5 together with the turret from M3A3. Only five M5 Stuarts were received by the Soviet Union under lend-lease arrangements, despite receiving 1,676 M3s. It is possible that this is one of those five and was retained at Kubinka for testing, although this is unconfirmed. Recently restored in Soviet markings, it is now on display in Hall 9 of the Patriot Museum Complex. Park Patriot, Kubinka, Moscow Oblast, Russia.
