Description

The M-blem is the name of the distinctive "M" shaped logo of Transport for Greater Manchester. It was introduced (in its original form) in 1974 when it represented the Greater Manchester Passenger Transport Executive.

I spotted this M-blem sprayed on the pavement along Huddersfield Road in Newhey, Greater Manchester, outside Newhey Metrolink station, clearly marking an area of importance to the local public transport network.

The M-blem is a ubiquitous symbol in Greater Manchester.
