Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Coat of arms of Mărășești, Romania, as introduced in 1932 (and discontinued during communism); with elements that reference Mărășești's role in the defense of Western Moldavia in World War I: wall, flame, French Croix de Guerre (awarded by Marshal Joffre in 1920), and motto (Pe aici nu se trece, "You shan't pass through here"). From description in Maria Dogaru, Din heraldica României. Album, p. 137. Brașov: Editura Jif, 1994.
