Description
Deutsch: Ihrlichs Kreuz (Detail), im Dialekt „Ihrles Kreuzje“, Votivkreuz von 1722 auf dem Schlossplatz von Mülheim-Kärlich, gestiftet von den Eheleuten Georg Ehrlich (so die damalige Schreibweise des Namens), geb. 1678, und Anna-Gertruta (Inschrift: GOERG EHRLICH ANNAGERTRUTA EHLEUT 1722). Ursprünglich stand das Kreuz in der Gemarkung Kärlich an der Kreuzung von zwei Feldwegen nahe der Grenze zu Weißenthurm. Ältere Kärlicher Bürger erinnern sich, dass es einen am Stein befestigten goldfarbenen Christuskorpus hatte, wahrscheinlich aus Metall. Eine Erneuerung des Korpus sei jedoch aus denkmalschützerischen Gründen nicht mehr zulässig. Aus dem Basalt herausgearbeitet ist eine kleine, sehr einfache Pietà.
