Français : Météorite Orgueil, tombée en 1864 en France. Composition : chondrite carbonée (CI1). Muséum national d'histoire naturelle de Paris (France).
Exposée à Paris à l'occasion de l'exposition "Météorites", dans le bâtiment de la grande galerie de l'évolution, au Muséum national d'histoire naturelle de Paris (18 octobre 2017 - 10 juin 2018). La composition chimique d'Orgueil est très proche de celle du Soleil, elle est riche en matière organique et on suppose qu'elle vient d'une comète. C'est l'une des météorites les plus étudiées au monde, en raison de ses propriétés chimiques exceptionnelles. (Informations provenant de la légende de la météorite dans l'exposition "Météorites".) |
