Français : Cette médaille en bronze du graveur Désiré Weygers (1868-1940) a été éditée pour l'inauguration du dirigeable Le Belgique.
La légende précise sur l'avers (face avant) « Les communes d'Auderghem et de Watermael-Boitsfort ». Une femme, au premier plan, contemple le dirigeable volant à l'arrière-plan. Elle est entourée par une pile de livres et l'inscription qu'elle tient : « Le BELGIQUE, Premier Dirigeable BELGE. HOMMAGE a ses PROMOTEURS ». Le revers (face arrière) est lisse. Elle daterait de 1908 ou 1909. La médaille appartenait à Léon Losseau à partir de 1921 et fait partie des collections de la maison Losseau, à Mons, en Belgique. |
