DescriptionLythrum salicaria, field of purple loosestrife, Concord, Massachusetts.jpg |
English: Flowering purple loosestrife (Lythrum salicaria), Concord, Massachusetts, USA. – Although loosestrife is considered an invasive species, it is a lovely one. Every year, I go on a hunt to see it bloom. I find odds and ends of it in many places. Off Nawhawtic Road in Concord, I discovered a large field full of loosestrife. Although the images is not a great one, I wanted to record the sight for future years. |
