Description
English: Reference point marker in Denmark. The plate on the stone states that "This stone and the area surrounding it for a distance of 3m is protected. Specifically it is forbidden to light a fire on or near [the stone]. [Signed] GM". The length is written on the stone as "5 Al", which is 5 Danish Ells (alen), roughly the equivalent of 3 meters. "GM" is the signature for the organisation "Graadmaalingen", which was the name of the Danish Geodata Agency between 1816 and 1842.
