Summary

[edit]
Description A couple of days ago I drove up to Lybrook and explored a different area of the badlands. Actually, this area is more of the traditional part. It's hard to find by road; I drove around for a couple of hours taking the truck up one rutted trail after another. I never did get to where I wanted to go, but this was close. The area is riddled with old oil and gas wells, criss-crossed by rusting pipes and the occasional chemical tank on a stand. You can see some of this in the middle of this shot. The rutted roads are there only because of these wells. Nobody lives out there. You can see how green it is here. We've had an unusual amount of rain this summer.
