Description
Encompassing the famous doves mosaic (preserved at the Palazzo Nuovo of the Capitoline Museums in Rome) from the villa of the Emperor Hadrian in Tivoli, this border consists of palmettos and vegetable finials of a rich range of colors on a black background.
Date Between 125 and 133.
Medium Vitreous glass and coloured marbles (opus vermiculatum).
