Français : Lully chez Mlle de Montpensier, lithographie de Lafosse d'après le tableau Lully enfant chez Mademoiselle de Montpensier d'Adine Verdé-Delisle présenté au Salon de 1840 (numéro 1607 du livret) avec la description suivante : Lully, à peine âgé de douze ans, employé dans les cuisines de Mademoiselle, venait de composer l'air au Clair de la Lune, qu'il faisait chaque jour chanter en choeur par tous les cuisiniers ; Mademoiselle, agréablement surprise de cette harmonie, voulut faire entendre le jeune marmiton musicien à Lambert, maître de musique de la chambre du roi, qui, reconnaissant de suite les heureuses dispositions de Lully, obtint qu'il serait admis au nombre des pages de Mademoiselle, et voulut lui-même, par son talent, contribuer à développer le génie de cet artiste devenu si célèbre.
