Luigi Bertelli: Ciondolino. Firenze (Florence) ca. 1915. Illustration of a death's-head hawkmoth by Carlo Chiostri. Bertelli's italian children's novel was first published in 1895 in Florence. English translations: "The Prince and His Ants", 1910 und 1937, "The Emporor of the Ants", 1935/37;
