Description
English: Memorial at the Jewish cemetery in Lübben, Landkreis Dahme-Spreewald, Brandenburg, Germany. The cemetery was desecrated in 1941 and in 1953 converted into a memorial park. Only the memorial's granite plate is a listed cultural heritage monument.
Deutsch: Gedenkstein auf dem Jüdischen Friedhof in der Majoransheide in Lübben, Landkreis Dahme-Spreewald, Brandenburg, Deutschland. Der Friedhof wurde 1941 geschändet und teils zweckentfremdet genutzt, 1953 dann planiert und in einen Gedenkpark umgewandelt. Lediglich die (zweiteilige) Granittafel des Gedenksteins steht unter Denkmalschutz. Die Inschrift lautet: „Hier war der Begräbnisplatz, auf dem die Angehörigen der jüdischen Gemeinde zur letzten Ruhe gebettet wurden. Diese ehrwürdige Stätte wurde im Jahre 1941 von den faschistischen Gewalthabern zerstört. Gedenkt der Millionen ermordeter Menschen aller Nationen, die Opfer des faschistischen Terrors wurden und helft, allen Menschen eine glückliche und friedliche Zukunft zu schaffen.“
