Description
Deutsch: Ludwig V. von Hessen-Darmstadt (* 24. September 1577 in Darmstadt; † 27. Juli 1626 nahe Rheinfels) war von 1596 bis 1626 Landgraf von Hessen-Darmstadt. Wegen seiner Loyalität zum Kaiser erhielt Ludwig den Beinamen „der Getreue“. Ludwig V. begründete 1618 die Darmstädter Münze.
