Description
Deutsch: Ludwig Friedel, geboren als Karl Siegfried Ludwig (1917–2007), genannt „Friedel“, Sohn der Lyrikerin und Kunstmalerin Paula Ludwig und des Verlegers, Druckereimitinhabers und Offiziers Walter Rose (1881–1962) aus dem niederschlesischen Neurode. „Friedel“ entwickelte als Schüler am reformpädagogischen Landerziehungsheim Schule am Meer auf der Nordseeinsel Juist zwischen 1927 und 1934 viele Filme seiner Klassenkameraden und Lehrer und fertigte davon Papierabzüge an. Seine erste Leica erhielt er als Geschenk seines Mitschülers Günther R. W. Leitz. Dieses Porträtfoto mit Leica M3 oder M2 in den Händen entstand auf dem Werksgelände der Optischen Werke Ernst Leitz in Wetzlar, Hessen.
