[edit]DescriptionLucky Find - Frogfish (48885784716).jpg |
Viewed from above, this Frogfish at "The Lake" dive site on the island of Bonaire looks very much like an orange sponge. I looked for one of these well-camouflaged little critters all week long and on my 17th and final dive I found this one at a depth of about 63 feet. I watched this fish for several minutes and saw itsuck down one small fish that came too close to it mouth... remarkably fast strike! Longlure Frogfish (Antennarius multiocellatus) photographed at "The Lake" in Bonaire. ISO 100, f 29.0, 1/125, 105mm single DS160 strobe flash (Full TTL setting) Sigma EX 105mm 1:2.8 macro lens |
