Description
Français : Les architectes Lucien Lefort et Pierre Chirol en dessinèrent les plans pour remplacer une chapelle construite en 1877 avec des planches récupérées. A l'origine, en 1864, elle devait être dédiée à saint Eloi. C'est saint Antoine de padoue qui a prévalu.

La construction de l'église actuelle a été décidée en 1909 lors de la création de la paroisse. Elle est conçu selon des procédés industriels, mettant en œuvre la brique et les charpentes métalliques. On a dit que Pierre Chirol se serait inspiré d'une gare du nord de la France, à l'instigation de l'abbé Hurel. Le plan prévoyait un clocher porche qui n'a pu être construit du fait de la première guerre mondiale et de la chute de deux couvreurs. C'est ce qui explique la présence du grand mur en brique en façade.
