DeLapp, Nashville District commander, honors Curtis Ferguson, civilian, with a certificate of appreciation and a gold commander’s medallion at the Estes Kefauver Federal Building, Sept. 17, 2012. Ferguson, heroically pulled two people from the hazardous waters directly downstream of Center Hill Dam after their boat swamped and capsized by the strong current generated by the sluice gates Aug. 16, 2012. Ferguson was joined (left to right) by his wife Meagan Ferguson, Tricia Ferguson, mother, Scott Ferguson, father, and Casey Ferguson, sister.
