Description
English: View looking up Queen Street taken from a high vantage point near the General Post Office and the Queen Street Railway Station in lower Queen Street. The Waverley Hotel next door to the Post Office and Thames Hotel at the intersection with Customs Street can be seen. On the righthandside opposite the Post Office is Sandford Ltd. Identifiable buildings further up Queen Street are the Waitemata Hotel, Smeeton's Building, and New Zealand Insurance Co Ltd. A number of cars, carts, trucks and trams can be seen in lower Queen Street. Taken by William A Price ca 1912-1918
