Summary

English: Two First Centrewest (Uxbridge Buses) buses of the LLW class (LLW19 & LLW4), 1993/4 Dennis Lance SLF single-deckers with Wrightbus Pathfinder bodywork, pictured in Hounslow bus station, Hounslow, London, operating route 222 and route 120. They were bought by Centrewest London Buses Ltd in the last days before the full privatisation of London bus services. Being Wrightbus products, they had Northern Irish registration plates. The LLW class were the first low-floor buses in London, and wore prominent branding on the front and sides to advertise that fact. Just 4 years later, with the independent Centrewest having survived just 3 years before being sold to Firstbus in 1997, they look decidedly tatty and anything but the trail blazers they once were. |
