English: Loved and loathed... The 1960's tower block of St Nicholas House looms behind the ornate granite spires of Greyfriars Kirk. St Nicholas House is the main office of Aberdeen City Council and is scheduled for demolition when Marischal College is refurbished. Greyfriars Kirk is the southern end of the Marischal College complex - the world's second largest granite building, after the Escorial. |
