Description
English: Photograph from Louis Désiré Blanquart-Evrards Album photographique de l'artiste et de l'amateur, issued in Lille in 1851. The album includes 36 plates, each with a single mounted photograph, and four pages with descriptions.
Français : Sainte-Ursule, fille d'un prince de Cornouailles, fuyant, avec un grand nombre de ses compagnes, les persécutions des Saxons, après avoir d'abord abordé à Cologne, vient à Home, où elle est reçue par le Pape Saint-Cyriaque. Ce fut dans l'hôpital Saint-Jean, à Bruges, où il entra et demeura six années a son retour de la fatale bataille de Nancy, qu'llemling peignit la célèbre chasse'de Sainte-Ursule, l'un des plus précieux monuments de la peinture du moyen-âge.
