Probably taken during Boston Americans Spring Training. Hugh Duffy had been a long time star for the Boston National League Team. The identity of Hurst is not known.; Corrected date and description based on information supplied by Flickr user, found in "The American League: The Early Years" by David Lee Poremba (2000), and verified by the Society for American Baseball Research, 2012.; Probably taken during Boston Americans Spring Training. Hugh Duffy had been a long time star for the Boston National League Team. The third man is umpire Tim Hurst.
