Description Lot 9706-10: USS Cassin, torpedoed by German submarine U-61, on October 15, 1917. Of note, Gunner’s Mate First Class Osmond K. Ingram posthumously received the Medal of Honor in attempt to save the ship from the enemy’s torpedo. (7/17/2015).
