Description Lot-5279-18: Allied Air Raids in Europe, circa 1943-44. A German chemical plant, the Ober Raderach Works, at Friedrichshafen, Germany, can be seen covered with some as this B-24 Liberator of the 15th Army Air Force comes off target. Heavy bombers attacked this strategic point on August 16, 1944, scoring hits in the areas of the hydrogen an final processing plants. Photographed by Miguel M. Garcia, U.S. Army Photograph. Note, the U.S. Navy’s designation for the B-24 was PB4Y-1. (2015/10/30). Photographed through Mylar sleeve.
