English: Lossie Estuary. This tidal reach is a very popular wintering place for birds. Today there were Herring, Common and Black-headed Gulls; Redshank and Greenshank; Curlew, Oystercatcher, Grey Herone (12 of them!), Knot and Mallard, and Carrion Crows. Later on in the year there should be lots more species. |
