Loop from a late medieval D-shaped buckle
Description
English: A loop from a D-shaped buckle of probable mid 15th to mid 16th century AD date. The object measures 30.8mm high by 24mm wide and 3.3mm thick. It has an axis bar of sub-circular section and moulded ropework decoration around the edge of the loop on the upper side. There is a corroded iron attachment at the top and traces of silvering or tinning. The reverse is flat and plain. It weighs 5.17g.
