English: Looking towards Eaton. From 695298 there is a good view of the Eaton iron ore branch line. Operated by the Great Northern Railway company this network of mineral railways criss-crossed this part of north east Leicestershire serving a thriving iron ore industry, see http://www.nottm-melton-railway.co.uk/c17/page254.htm Now the countryside is peaceful with only the embankments, cuttings and occasional buildings and bridges remaining as a testament to an industrial past.
