Summary
[edit]| Description |
English: Looking back towards Southport Taken out on the tidal flats of the Ribble Estuary National Nature Reserve. In summer many breeding waders can be seen out on the creek edges and nearer the sea - in winter it supports huge flocks of over-wintering wildfowl.
Due to the fragility of parts of the site and the risk of disturbance to the birds, not to mention the speed of the incoming tides at certain times of year, access is limited to rights of way and permit holders. |
