Description
English: Looking west at the presentation of the colors, the pledge of allegiance to the United States, and the salute to the Confederate flag at the Confederate Memorial Day exercises at the Confederate Memorial in Arlington National Cemetery in Arlington County, Virginia, in the United States on June 8, 2014.

The color guard was provided by the Maryland Division, Sons of Confederate Veterans (SCV). Mrs. Joan B. Trafton, president of the District of Columbia division of the United Daughters of the Confederacy, led the audience of just over 100 people in the pledges.

The Arlington Brass Quintet provided music for the event, which included signing of "The Star-Spangled Banner" after the pledges.

Mrs. Joan B. Trafton (red hat and dress, at podium), president of the District of Columbia division of the United Daughters of the Confederacy (UDC), acted as master of ceremonies.
