Description
English: Looking west at the presentation of the colors, the pledge of allegiance to the United States, the salute to the Confederate flag, and singing of "The Star-Spangled Banner" at the Confederate Memorial Day exercises at the Confederate Memorial in Arlington National Cemetery in Arlington County, Virginia, in the United States on June 8, 2014.

The color guard was provided by the Maryland Division, Sons of Confederate Veterans (SCV). Mrs. Joan B. Trafton (red hat, at podium), president of the District of Columbia division of the United Daughters of the Confederacy (UDC), led the audience of just over 100 people in the pledges and singing.

Behind Mrs. Trafton on the dais are (left to right): Mrs. June L. Miller, vice president of the District of Columbia division of the UDC (blue hat); Miss Jessica Sizemore, vice president of the Children of the Confederacy (black hat, partially obscured); Mrs. Jamie Likins, president of the UDC (white hat); Mr. Alexander Pincus, descendent of sculptor Sir Moses Ezekiel; Ms. Patricia Rawls, chair of the Norfolk Botanical Garden Foundation; Mr. Waite Rawls, co-director, American Museum of the Civil War; and Dr. Stephen Carney, historian of Arlington National Cemetery.
