Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Looking south through the Euclid Arcade, a commercial arcade located at 527 Prospect Avenue/520 Euclid Avenue in Cleveland, Ohio, in the United States.

Designed by architect Franz Warner, it was completed in 1911. The arcade connects the Colonial Hotel to the Williams & Rodgers Building to the northwest. The Neoclassical Euclid Arcade is 435 feet long, 20 wide, and 18 feet high and features a barrel-vaulted ceiling with a skylight whose frame mimics the coffered ceiling. The skylight is protected by a gabled glass roof (not visible from the inside). It has white terra cotta walls and white marble flooring. A blind fanlight exists at both ends, and illustrations of historic places and settings in Cleveland occupy blanks in the frieze.

The Euclid and Colonial Arcades were joined at the middle during a $30 million renovation in 2000, with the new space used as a food court. A new owner renovated the space in August 2012.
