Summary
[edit]DescriptionLongdon Village Green - geograph.org.uk - 460521.jpg |
English: Longdon Village Green This field when owned by the church was used for communal events such as the annual Longdon Fete. The Parish Council have now taken over ownership and it has now become a "village green" allowing the parish to apply for lottery grant money to make a variety of improvements. The parishioners are being consulted on which of a wide variety of suggested improvements are their priority - from a children's play area to park benches. The fete continues with pony rides, a dog show, books, cakes, skittles, bric-a-brac, a bouncy castle and many, many more. |
