English: Londoners' Meals Service- Canteen at Fishmongers' Hall, London Bridge, London, 1942
A group of female city workers climb enter Fishmongers' Hall to visit the canteen, run by the Londoners' Meals Service, which is held in the large banqueting hall on the first floor of the building. A sign by the door states that dinners are served daily except Sunday and suppers are served Monday to Friday, between 5:45pm and 7:30pm. The blackboard beside the entrance states the date, and that hot and cold lunches are available at a minimum of 1/ (for two courses). Three courses cost 1/ 3, bread can be bought for 1/2d, tea for 1 1/2d and coffee for 2d.
