The front side of the so-called Ratchis Altar shows the Majestas Domini (enthroned figure of God). This box altar of four plaque sides with reliefs was, according to an inscription that runs along the top, dedicated by Duke Ratchis to the memory of his father Pemmo.

  • Photographed while on display from 22 August 2008 to 11 January 2009 in the exhibition "Die Langobarden. Das Ende der Völkerwanderung" at the Rheinisches LandesMuseum Bonn. Original in the Museo Cristiano, Cividale del Friuli. This copy on loan from the Römisch-Germanisches Zentralmuseum Mainz.

Die Stirnseite des sogenannten Ratchis-Altars zeigt die Majestas Domini (thronende Gestalt Gottes). Der Kastenaltar aus vier reliefierten Platten wurde laut umlaufender Inschrift von Herzog Ratchis zum Andenken an seinen Vater Pemmo gestiftet.
